- From 2 pm to 3 pm: Roses in Red Square. Join us in Red Square and pick up a free rose.
- From 3:30 pm to 4:45 pm: Catalan Cinema in ICC 302-P. Despite its prohibition by the Spanish government, on October 1st, 2017, two million Catalans voted in the referendum on Catalan independence. Join us for a documentary viewing of the events that took place that day (In Catalan with English and Spanish subtitles).
- From 5pm to 6 pm: Lecture in McGhee Library. Hofstra University professor Vicent Lledó-Guillem will talk about The Making of Catalan Linguistic Identity in Medieval and Early Modern Times. The historical relationship between the Catalan and Occitan languages had an impact on the linguistic identity of the Crown of Aragon and the emergent Spanish Empire.
- 7 pm: Catalan Dinner in ICC 450. Join us for a complimentary dinner of traditional Catalan food!
