Confined, but not resigned. One year more, and despite difficult circumstances around the world, we have kept the spirit of the Sant Jordi festival alive in different countries with #BooksAndRoses!
Many of you asked us about the possibility to activate digital tools to organize a confined Sant Jordi. This is why we enabled the digital rose in our website. In very few days and hours, 12,126 personalized roses were sent with your own message to a wide variety of countries such as the United States, France, Australia, Italy, Brazil, Canada, Slovenia, Costa Rica, Germany, Japan, Uruguay, Ecuador, Mexico, Ireland or Sweden.
Now the rose is having a rest and will bloom again on April 23, we hope you liked it, do not hesitate to get in touch with us, through social networks, if you have any suggestions for improvement.
At the same time, many of you did not want to give up organizing your own event. In total, we have counted 32 events organized from 31 cities in 21 different countries. Contests, conferences, book presentations, live music broadcasting from social networks, etc. None of this would have been possible without your effort and enthusiasm.
This year #BooksAndroses is not completely finished yet. We will inform you of any face-to-face event with #BooksAndRoses linked to the Catalan tradition of Sant Jordi, when the respective government authorities allow it, at any time during 2020, provided it is outside Catalonia and everybody is welcome to join.
In the meantime, and waiting to see how events unfold, we would like to thank you once again for keeping the spirit of #BooksAndRoses alive in and around April 23.
